Levorphanol Tartrate Usage: this med is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
How to use Levorphanol Tartrate: To prevent upset stomach, take with food or milk. Pain drugs work best in preventing pain before it occurs. once pain becomes intense, medication is not as effective in relieving it. Take this as prescribed. don't increase youre dose, take this more frequently or use it for longer period of clock with-out your doctor's approval. Also, if used for long period of time at high doses, do not suddenly stop taking this with-out first consulting your healthcare professional. When used since extended periods, this med may not work as well & may require different dosing. Consult your healthcare professional if the medication is not relieving the pain sufficiently.
Levorphanol Tartrate side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, & flushing first few days as you're body adjusts to the drug. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To minimize constipation, increase your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water, and exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. Ask your physician or doctor about stool softeners and laxatives. Notify you're doctor if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek healthcare attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Levorphanol Tartrate Precautions: Tell your doctor if you allergic to any other narcotic pain medicine or have had substance abuse problems. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Alcoholic beverages or other sedatives may add to the effects of this drug causing dizziness or drowsiness. Ask youre doctor or pharmacist about the use of alcohol. Caution is advised when using this med in elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects about drug. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Levorphanol Tartrate tablet interactions: Tell your physician of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may be using especially: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), psychiatric drugs, tranquilizers, sleep medications, zidovudine, rifampin, other narcotic pain relievers, barbiturates, cimetidine, anti-seizure drugs, antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), alcohol. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Levorphanol Tartrate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Levorphanol Tartrate special notes: do not share it medication with others. this is against law.
If you missed Levorphanol Tartrate dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if Its almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Levorphanol Tartrate Storage: Store at room temperature away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom.
