    Magnesium supplement - oral

    (mag-nee-zee-um)

    common brand names: Mag-Ox 400, Magnacaps, Uro-Mag

    Maggel Usage: Magnesium plays critical role in body. Its essential for normal functioning about nerves, muscles and cells. Magnesium supplements used to treat or prevent low blood magnesium levels.

    Maggel canbe used also for: it medication may also be used to prevent certain types of kidney stones.

    How to use Maggel: Take this medication orally as directed. it is best taken with or just after meal to improve absorption. Take each dose with full glass of water. Swallow sustained release meds whole. do not crush or chew them.

    Maggel side effects: it drug is generally well tolerated. Stomach upset, bloating, gas or diarrhea may occur, especially with higher doses. Notify some your doctor if you experience: nausea, vomiting, any change in heart rate, flushing, faintness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or healthcare professional.

    Maggel Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, any allergies. it medication should be used as directed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.

    Maggel drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially: digoxin, penicillamine, any antibiotics. Avoid taking any tetracycline or quinolone antibiotic within 1 to 2 hours about taking magnesium since it may interfere with the absorption of antibiotic. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Maggel Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow heartbeat, flushing, severe drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness, & loss of consciousness.

    Maggel special notes: Magnesium supplements available in different forms which vary at amount of medication they contain. many are available without a prescription. Ask you're healthcare professional or pharmacist to help choose best product for you. Foods rich in magnesium include avocados, bananas, beans, grains, green vegetables, roasted peanuts. Follow any dietary guidelines recommended.

    If you missed Maggel dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Maggel Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
