Phenylephrine Guaifenesin Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Phenylephrine Guaifenesin: Take this drug by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Phenylephrine Guaifenesin side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first some days as your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. Discuss risk and benefits with your doctor. Its not known if this tablet appears in breast milk; consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Phenylephrine Guaifenesin drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, med for high blood pressure. Tell youre pharmacist if you have, in the last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Phenylephrine Guaifenesin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

If you missed Phenylephrine Guaifenesin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if Its almost time since following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
