Maldroxal Usage: this is an antacid that works in stomach to neutralize & reduce acid. Antacids used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by an excess of stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.
How to use Maldroxal: Take this medication as prescribed. Taking too many about an antacid can reverse the effects and more acid will be secreted. in certain conditions, however, it may be necessary to take antacid as frequently as every 1 to 2 hours. To be effective, chewable meds must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by a full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. don't take any other medication within 1 to 2 hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat the stomach, they can prevent other drugs from being absorbed properly if taken in same time.
Maldroxal side effects: it drug can cause nausea, loss of appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your doctor. Notify youre doctor if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this drug. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Maldroxal Precautions: Tell your physician you're medical history, especially of: kidney problems.
Maldroxal drug interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional about all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), meds used for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Maldroxal Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea & vomiting, loss of appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss of consciousness.
Maldroxal special notes: Refrigerating liquid antacids may improve taste. do not freeze. If you dislike the taste of one antacid, chat to your doctor or healthcare professional about switching to similar product. liquid antacid forms work faster & more effective than other forms. However, chewable pills may be more convenient.
If you missed Maldroxal dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Maldroxal Storage: Store tablets, capsules & powdered forms at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this medication.
