Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Allerscript Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Allerscript: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your healthcare professional instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, notify some your physician. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Allerscript side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or doctor.
Allerscript Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, hypertension, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. money this product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding. do not give this medication to child younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor.
Allerscript drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist what medications you take, especially about: HBP drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy drug. do not take this pill if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Allerscript Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Allerscript special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Allerscript dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Allerscript Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
