Sudal DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Sudal DM: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.
Sudal DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1st several days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking it medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Sudal DM Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Sudal DM drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Sudal DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.
Sudal DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Sudal DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take this if It's near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Sudal DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in bathroom.
