Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL: Take this med by mouth. this should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it drug as directed. don't increase the dose or take it more many times or longer than prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.

Guaifenesin P Ephed HCL side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st few days as some your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Tell your healthcare professional if you have taken any MAO inhibitors in last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
