Guiadex D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guiadex D: Take it medication by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. don't crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it pill as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. It's recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Guiadex D side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first several days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this med can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Guiadex D Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with your pharmacist. it isn't known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Guiadex D drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell your physician if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Guiadex D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness about the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Guiadex D special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Guiadex D dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guiadex D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in bathroom.
