Gua Sr Usage: it medication is used to relieve a dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Gua Sr: Take each dose of this medication with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless you're doctor instructs you otherwise. don't take it tablet for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by you're pharmacist. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult you're pharmacist.
Gua Sr side effects: this medication may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Gua Sr Precautions: If you have any of next health problems, consult your physician before using it pill: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. Its not known if this tablet is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Gua Sr drug interactions: Tell youre physician of every medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results about certain lab tests. Be sure youre caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Gua Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.
Gua Sr special notes: it medication comes in a variety of dose forms such as meds, capsules, long acting tablets or capsules and syrup. Ask you're physician or pharmacist to recommend the best product for you.
If you missed Gua Sr dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Gua Sr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this drug. don't store syrup in refrigerator.
