    Guaifenesin with dextromethorphan - oral

    (gweye-fen-eh-sin with dex-trow-meth-or-fan)

    common brand names: Benylin, Cheracol D, Naldecon DX, Robitussin-DM

    Neo Tuss Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat a cough associated with common cold, allergies & another respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Neo Tuss: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting pills must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. don't crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed and chance about side effects will be increased.

    Neo Tuss side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st few days as your body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking it medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this med makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Neo Tuss Precautions: Tell you're physician some your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this pill are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Neo Tuss drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

    Neo Tuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

    Neo Tuss special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Neo Tuss dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near the clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Neo Tuss Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at the bathroom.
