Monopril Hct Usage: ACE inhibitors prevent certain enzymes in body from constricting blood vessels. it helps to lower blood pressure & makes heart beat stronger. Thiazides are diuretics (water pills) that help to reduce blood pressure. this drug is used to treat HBP (high blood pressure).

How to use Monopril Hct: this pill may be taken without regard to meals. Take this drug exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at the same time each day. do not stop taking it medication without consulting your doctor. some conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. your dose may need to be gradually decreased. it is important to continue taking this drug even if you feel well. most people with HBP do not feel sick.

Monopril Hct side effects: Dizziness, headache, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, nausea, loss of taste, flushing, fatigue, cough or increased urination may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. this drug can increase sensitivity to sunlight. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Inform your doctor if you develop: chest pain, tingling about hands or feet, persistent sore throat. this med may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver problems. If you notice any of the following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention: yellowing about eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent fatigue, persistent nausea. in unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to this med, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.

Monopril Hct Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: scheduled medical or dental procedures, heart problems, allergies (especially sulfa drugs). this medicine may make you more prone to sunburn. Wear protective clothing & a sunscreen. Limit youre intake about alcohol and avoid overheating because this can aggravate dizziness and lightheadedness. Avoid 'stimulant' drugs that may increase your heart rate such as decongestants or caffeine. Decongestants commonly found in over-the-counter cough-and-cold medicine. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during first 5 months of pregnancy. Its not recommended for use during the last 6 months of pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. this drug passes into breast milk. Consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Monopril Hct medication interactions: it drug isn't recommended for use with: dofetilide. Ask some your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Inform your healthcare professional about all medicine you use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: lithium, potassium supplements, potassium-sparing water pills, anti- inflammatory medicine (NSAIDs such as ibuprofen), digoxin. If you take colestipol or cholestyramine, take this medicine 1 hour before or 4 hours after cholesterol lowering medicine because of decreased absorption. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Monopril Hct Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, unconsciousness, decreased at the amount of urine, muscle weakness, or fainting.

If you missed Monopril Hct dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Monopril Hct Storage: Store it medication at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Brief storage between 59 & 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. Keep every medication away from kid and pets.
