    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate Usage: Hydrocortisone sodium succinate is corticosteroid-type hormone used as supplement when body is not producing enough of natural hormone, cortisol. Hydrocortisone sodium succinate is also used to suppress (inhibit) immune system in order to treat conditions such as allergies, rejection about transplanted organs, or rheumatoid arthritis.

    How to use Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate: Give this medication directly in to a vein (IV) or into a muscle (IM), as directed by doctor. dosage & length of treatment depends on you're medical condition and response to therapy. Follow every instructions for proper mixing & dilution with correct IV fluids. If you have questions regarding the use of this drug, consult your pharmacist. Before using, bucks this product visually since particles or discoloration. If either is present, don't use liquid. Use this pill exactly as prescribed. do not increase your dose, take it more frequently, or use it for longer period about time than prescribed. Also, do not suddenly stop using it med without your doctor's approval. You may be switched to an oral corticosteroid when you are able to take drugs by mouth.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate side effects: Nausea or stomach upset may occur. If either about these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: increased appetite, stomach pain, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weight loss or gain, mental/mood changes, trouble sleeping, reddening of face or neck. Tell your doctor immediately if any about these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision problems, eye pain, seizures, changes in the appearance of skin, problems with wounds healing, unusual bruising, unusual weakness, unusual menstrual periods, failure to grow (in children), excess hair growth, tendon or bone/joint pain. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immeditial medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: any allergies (especially to corticosteroids such as prednisone), thyroid conditions (e.g., hyperthyroid, hypothyroid), bone loss (e.g., osteoporosis), stomach problems (e.g., ulcers, ulcerative colitis), heart problems (e.g., congestive heart failure), current infections (e.g., tuberculosis, fungal, parasitic infection), eye problems (e.g., herpes infection, cataracts, glaucoma), nerve problems (e.g., myasthenia gravis), bleeding problems (e.g., hypoprothrombinemia), liver problems, high blood pressure, seizures, diabetes, recent vaccinations, mental/mood problems, kidney problems. it medication can lower the body's ability to fight an infection. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop any signs of an infection such as fever, chills, or sore throat. Also, contact your healthcare professional if you notice white patches in your mouth, change at vaginal discharge, or any another new symptoms. Avoid contact with people currently infected with chicken pox or measles. Consult your healthcare professional immediately if you think you have been exposed to chicken pox or measles virus. do not have immunizations/vaccinations without the consent of you're physician & avoid contact with people who have recently received live vaccines (e.g., oral polio vaccine). this medication isnt recommended for use in premature infants. Caution is advised when prescribing or using this drug in child since they may be more sensitive to the effects of the pill. a preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in this product or in the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during 1st months about life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, LBP, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the physician immediately should they occur. If possible, a preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Caution is advised when prescribing or using this drug in elderly since they may be more sensitive to effects of the drug. it med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're physician. it is not known if it drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: phenytoin, barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital, primidone), rifamycin antibiotics (e.g., rifampin, rifabutin), macrolide antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin), high-dose aspirin or aspirin-like tablets (e.g., salsalate, magnesium salicylate), neuromuscular blocking tablets (e.g., pancuronium, vecuronium), 'water pills' (e.g., potassium-sparing diuretics such as spironolactone or triamterene), antifungal medications (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), anticholinesterase medications (e.g., ambenonium, pyridostigmine), estrogen-containing tablets (e.g., birth control pills, estradiol) or 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin). it drug can affect results about certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel & your doctors know you use this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or doctor approval.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate special notes: do not share it medication with others. Inform every your physicians (including dentists) that you use (or have used) this med. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor for side effects & response to treatment.

    If you missed Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate dose: If you miss a dose or dose is interrupted, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist immediately to establish a new dosing schedule.

    Hydrocortisone Sod Succinate Storage: Store at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 to 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. After mixing & dilution in correct IV fluids, medication is stable in room temperature for up to 72 hours if protected from light Consult some your pharmacist since details. Discard any unused liquid.
