Butorphanol Tartrate Usage: Butorphanol is narcotic-like pain reliever. this is used to relieve pain of surgical procedures & labor & to boost effects of anesthesia.
How to use Butorphanol Tartrate: this is given by injection into a vein or muscle by a health care professional. How many & how often you receive this will depend on your condition & response. Use this medication exactly as prescribed. don't increase your dose, take it more frequently or use this for longer period of time than prescribed because this drug canbe habit-forming. Butorphanol Tartrate drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any nonprescription or prescription drug you use, particularly of: other narcotic pain relievers, tranquilizers, muscle relaxers, medication for sleep, anti-anxiety drugs, antidepressants, certain antihistamines (drowsiness-causing antihistamines such as diphenhydramine). do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or physician approval.
Butorphanol Tartrate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include cold & clammy skin, slowed breathing, slowed heartbeat, drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, deep sleep, & loss of consciousness.
Butorphanol Tartrate special notes: don't allow anyone else to use it tablet. Properly discard used syringes, needles and any another supplies used for injection.
