warning: child and teenagers should not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related medications since flu symptoms or chickenpox without 1st consulting pharmacist. a rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.
Percodan Usage: this medication is used to relieve moderate to severe pain and swelling (inflammation).
How to use Percodan: To prevent upset stomach, take with food or milk. Take this medication with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your physician directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this med. Pain drugs work best in preventing pain before it occurs. once pain becomes intense, the med isnt as effective in relieving it. Use this medication exactly as directed by youre pharmacist. do not increase your dose, use this more frequently or use this since a longer period of time than prescribed because this tablet can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period about time, do not suddenly stop using this drug without youre doctor's approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well. Consult some your doctor if this medication is not relieving pain sufficiently.
Percodan side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, or flushing 1st few days as your body adjusts to pill. If these symptoms persist or become worsen, inform you're doctor. Notify some your pharmacist if you develop: irregular heartbeat, ringing in ears, simple bruising, black stools, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, anxiety, tremors. in unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or healthcare professional.

Aspirin is excreted in to breast milk. Though to date there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Percodan drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: blood thinners (e.g., warfarin, heparins), NSAID (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen), cimetidine, acetazolamide, corticosteroids, methotrexate, med for gout, drugs used for diabetes, sleeping tablets, sedatives, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), anti-seizure tablets, muscle relaxants, drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), all other pain relievers. Because it medication contains aspirin, check with youre doctor or healthcare professional before taking other medications containing aspirin or aspirin-related drugs. Aspirin is commonly found in pain relievers & cough-and-cold preparations, as are antihistamines. Read labels carefully to check ingredients. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Percodan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include heartburn, stomach pain, muscle weakness, ringing in ears, vomiting, slow or quick breathing, slow heart rate, or unconsciousness.
Percodan special notes: To prevent constipation, increase your intake about fiber, drink plenty of water & exercise. do not share this med with others.
If you missed Percodan dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Percodan Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
