Stadol Usage: Butorphanol is a narcotic-like pain reliever. it is used to relieve pain of surgical procedures & labor & to boost the effects of anesthesia.

How to use Stadol: it is given by injection into a vein or muscle by a health care professional. How much and how much of times you receive this will depend on youre condition and response. Use this med exactly as prescribed. don't increase youre dose, take this more frequently or use it for a longer period about time than prescribed because this med can be habit-forming. Also, if used for longer period about time, do not suddenly stop using this drug with out some your doctor's approval. When used for extended periods, this med may not work as well & may require different dosing. Consult you're doctor if medication isnot working well.

Stadol side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, incoordination, nervousness, floating feeling, headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, trouble sleeping, dry mouth, confusion & sweating may occur. If these effects continue or become severe, inform youre doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: anxiety, hallucinations, mental confusion, slow or irregular heartbeat, breathing trouble, seizures. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Stadol Precautions: Before using this, tell you're pharmacist if you have: heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, breathing disorders, a history about drug dependency, allergies (especially to pain relievers). Use caution driving & avoid activities requiring alertness since this pill can cause dizziness, drowsiness and incoordination. Avoid use of alcohol while using it drug as this will increase these side effects. Caution is advised when using this drug at elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of the medication. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. When in labor, this drug may be used with caution. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. Small amounts of this med found in breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of this drug. Use this with caution. watch for dizziness.

Stadol drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any nonprescription or prescription medication you use, particularly about: another narcotic pain relievers, tranquilizers, muscle relaxers, drug for sleep, anti-anxiety medications, antidepressants, certain antihistamines (drowsiness-causing antihistamines such as diphenhydramine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Stadol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include cold & clammy skin, slowed breathing, slowed heartbeat, drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, deep sleep, & loss of consciousness.

Stadol special notes: do not allow anyone else to use this medication. Properly discard used syringes, needles and any another supplies used for injection.

If you missed Stadol dose: this drug is only given as needed by a health care professional.

Stadol Storage: Store this medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom. Keep it and every medications out of the reach of children.
