Morphine Sulfate Injection Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: liver disease, lung disease, asthma, colitis or other stomach problems, severe diarrhea, a history of drug dependency, pill allergies. Use caution when engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcohol consumption because it may add to the dizziness/drowsiness effects of it drug. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of drug. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre healthcare professional. this med may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Morphine Sulfate Injection drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, other narcotic pain relievers, tablets for depression, phenothiazines, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. don't start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Morphine Sulfate Injection Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include shallow & slow breathing, very slow heartbeat, fainting, seizures, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Morphine Sulfate Injection special notes: To prevent constipation, increase your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water & exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. do not share this drug with others. it is against the law.
If you missed Morphine Sulfate Injection dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if It's almost time for following dose. Instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Morphine Sulfate Injection Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
