Morphine Sulfate Usage: it drug is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
How to use Morphine Sulfate: To prevent upset stomach, take with food or milk. Pain medications work best in preventing pain before it occurs. one time pain becomes intense, the medication isnot as effective in relieving this. Take this as prescribed. do not increase youre dose, take it more frequently or use this for longer period of time with out some your doctor's approval. Also, if used for long period of time at high doses, do not suddenly stop taking it without 1st consulting your pharmacist. When used for extended periods, this drug may not work as well and may require different dosing. Consult youre pharmacist if pill isn't relieving pain sufficiently.
Morphine Sulfate side effects: may cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, & flushing the first few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your physician. To minimize constipation, increase your intake about fiber, drink plenty of water, & exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about stool softeners & laxatives. Notify your physician if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. at unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Morphine Sulfate Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional if you allergic to any other narcotic pain medicine or have had substance abuse problems. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Alcoholic beverages or another sedatives may add to the effects of this drug causing dizziness or drowsiness. Ask you're healthcare professional or pharmacist about use of alcohol. Caution is advised when using this drug at elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of drug. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist. this drug is excreted into breast milk & may affect the infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Morphine Sulfate drug interactions: Tell youre physician of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may be using especially: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), psychiatric drugs, tranquilizers, sleep medications, zidovudine, rifampin, another narcotic pain relievers, barbiturates, cimetidine, anti-seizure medications, antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), alcohol. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Morphine Sulfate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Morphine Sulfate special notes: do not share it drug with others. It's against the law.
If you missed Morphine Sulfate dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Morphine Sulfate Storage: Store at room temperature away from light & moisture. do not store in bathroom.
