Acephen Usage: this medication is used to relieve mild to moderate pain & to reduce fever.
How to use Acephen: If the suppository is too soft to insert, put it in cold water or refrigerate since 30 minutes before removing foil wrapper. Unwrap foil and moisten suppository with little bit water. Lie down on your left side with right knee bent. Push suppository into rectum with your finger. Remain lying down for few minutes & avoid having bowel movement for an hour or longer so pill will be absorbed. Take this medication as directed. do not take more often than recommended. don't use for more than 10 days without consulting your physician. Not to be given to kid under 3 years of age without doctor's approval. do not take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effects section).
Acephen side effects: When taken as directed, most human experience small amount or no side effects with this medication. Tell you're doctor immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: simple bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat or other signs of infection. If you don't have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams daily (4000 milligrams). If you take more than the maximum daily amount, it may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. in the unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or doctor.
Acephen Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your pharmacist before using this medication: liver disease, alcohol dependency, any allergies. Read the dosing instructions carefully as the amount of acetaminophen may vary among products. Acetaminophen appears to be safe for use during pregnancy. Use only if clearly needed. Acetaminophen is found at breast milk, but side effects in nursing infants have not been reported. Consult your doctor if you breast-feeding.
Acephen drug interactions: Tell your physician of every nonprescription & prescription drugs you use, especially of: isoniazid, phenytoin, phenobarbital, zidovudine, sulfinpyrazone. Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription goods & in several combination prescription medications. Read the labels carefully before taking another pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold goods to watch if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult youre pharmacist if you uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also see adult maximum daily dose information in Side Effects section). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Acephen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include vomiting, excessive sweating, severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue.
Acephen special notes: Acetaminophen does not cause the stomach & intestinal ulcers that aspirin & aspirin-like NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, ketoprofen) may cause.
If you missed Acephen dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time since the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Acephen Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. May also refrigerate.
