Vicodin Tuss Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Hydrocodone is narcotic pain reliever in low-dose which suppresses cough. this combination medication is used to treat cough & symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Vicodin Tuss: Take it med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack.

Vicodin Tuss side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or stomach upset may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're physician. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, mental confusion, hallucinations, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Vicodin Tuss Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, emotional problems, history of drug dependency, allergies (especially drug allergies). Vicodin Tuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.

Vicodin Tuss special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Vicodin Tuss dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Vicodin Tuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
