Delatestryl Usage: Testosterone is a hormone used since replacement in males who not producing proper amounts of testosterone for various reasons. this medication is also used in women to treat breast cancer & postpartum breast pain or engorgement.

How to use Delatestryl: this medication is given by injection in to muscle prescribed. short-acting forms are given two to 3 times week & long-acting forms are usually given every 2 to 4 weeks. Follow the dosing schedule carefully. Be sure to ask youre doctor if you have any questions.

Delatestryl side effects: this pill may cause stomach upset, headache, & acne. These effects must disappear as your body adjusts to drug. other side effects may include increased hair growth on face & body, male pattern baldness, change in sex drive, anxiety, depression & pain or inflammation at the injection site. Males may experience enlargement about the breasts & increase in the frequency & duration of erections. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: nausea, vomiting, swelling of the hands or feet (edema), jaundice. in woman this can cause menstrual irregularities, hoarseness, deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement, increased facial hair growth, acne or thinning about hair. Notify your healthcare professional if any of these effects occur. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Delatestryl Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: cancer about prostate or breast (males), liver or kidney disease, enlarged prostate, any allergies. High dosage, long-term use about androgens has been related to liver cancer. Discuss your medicine with your doctor/pharmacist. Females should be monitored for signs of virilization, such as deepening about the voice, facial hair, acne, menstrual irregularity, or clitoral enlargement. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if any of these symptoms occur. Use in children should be undertaken with extreme caution due to the possibility this drug may have undesirable effects related to growth of child. Geriatric men are at higher risk for developing enlarged prostates or prostate cancer when using this drug. this drug must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform you're physician immediately. it is not known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. Because possibility exists it med may have serious, harmful effects on a nursing infant, nursing shouldnot be undertaken while using it medication. Consult youre doctor.

Delatestryl drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), meds used for diabetes. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Delatestryl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Delatestryl special notes: Serious, life-threatening side effects may result from abuse of this med. it must be used only for whom it was prescribed for condition prescribed. Laboratory tests will be done periodically while taking this drug to monitor effects.

If you missed Delatestryl dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Delatestryl Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, light & moisture as directed. don't store in the bathroom. vial may be warmed by rolling it in your hands to dissolve crystals if they form.
