Testosterone Usage: Testosterone is hormone used for replacement in males who not producing proper amounts about testosterone for various reasons. this medication is also used in wonen to treat breast cancer & postpartum breast pain or engorgement.

How to use Testosterone: this medication is given by injection into muscle prescribed. the short-acting forms are given 2 to 3 times week and the long-acting forms usually given all two to 4 weeks. Follow dosing schedule carefully. Be sure to ask your pharmacist if you have any questions.

Testosterone side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, headache, and acne. These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to drug. another side effects may include increased hair growth on face & body, male pattern baldness, change at sex drive, anxiety, depression and pain or inflammation at injection site. Males may experience enlargement of the breasts and increase in frequency and duration of erections. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you experience: nausea, vomiting, swelling of hands or feet (edema), jaundice. in wome this can cause menstrual irregularities, hoarseness, deepening about voice, clitoral enlargement, increased facial hair growth, acne or thinning of hair. Notify youre pharmacist if any of these effects occur. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Testosterone Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: cancer of prostate or breast (males), liver or kidney disease, enlarged prostate, any allergies. High dosage, long-term use about androgens has been related to liver cancer. Discuss youre medicine with youre doctor/pharmacist. Females must be monitored for signs of virilization, such as deepening of voice, facial hair, acne, menstrual irregularity, or clitoral enlargement. Consult your physician promptly if any of these symptoms occur. Use in kid should be undertaken with extreme caution due to the possibility this drug may have undesirable effects related to growth of the child. Geriatric men in higher risk for developing enlarged prostates or prostate cancer when using this medication. this drug must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Its not known if it medication is excreted into breast milk. Because possibility exists this medication may have serious, harmful effects on nursing infant, nursing shouldn't be undertaken while using this drug. Consult some your doctor.

Testosterone drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), drugs used for diabetes. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.

Testosterone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Testosterone special notes: Serious, life-threatening side effects may result from abuse about this drug. this must be used only for whom it was prescribed for the condition prescribed. Laboratory tests will be done periodically while taking this tablet to monitor effects.

If you missed Testosterone dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Testosterone Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, light & moisture as directed. don't store in bathroom. the vial may be warmed by rolling it in your hands to dissolve crystals if they form.
