    Lidocaine HCL Usage: this drug is a topical anesthetic which numbs mucous membranes (skin) of the mouth & throat. Its used to relieve pain and discomfort of certain mouth & throat problems.

    How to use Lidocaine HCL: it medication is taken by mouth. Shake the bottle well before measuring each dose carefully. If you taking this since sore mouth, swish the drug in your mouth for a minute then spit it out. don't swallow medication. If it is being used for sore throat, gargle with the medication for minute, then swallow it. do not drink water or any liquids right after taking this medication & avoid eating any food for at least 1 hour since this medication will numb your tongue & affect swallowing. this is important to not eat or chew gum while your mouth is numb to prevent choking or biting youre tongue. do not increase your dose or use this more many times than prescribed without your doctor's approval.

    Lidocaine HCL side effects: Minor stinging, burning & tenderness of mouth & throat may occur when this is first used. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if following effects occur: irritation, rash, redness. Dizziness, lightheadedness, vomiting & seizures have occurred in child when big amounts of this pill have been swallowed. Use caution when giving this medication to kid. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

    Lidocaine HCL Precautions: Tell you're doctor youre medical history especially: heart problems, any infections or open wounds where drug is to be administered, severe liver disease, any allergies. Before using this medication, notify your doctor if you pregnant. this pill passes into breast milk. Though risk of harm to a nursing infant is very small, consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

    Lidocaine HCL med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Lidocaine HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Lidocaine HCL special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Lidocaine HCL dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Lidocaine HCL Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. Avoid freezing.
