Vascor Usage: this drug is a calcium channel blocker. Calcium is involved in blood vessel contraction. By blocking calcium, bepridil relaxes & widens blood vessels. Bepridil is used to treat chest pain (angina). Ask your doctor or pharmacist about possible problems related to use of short-acting calcium channel blockers.
How to use Vascor: this medication must be taken as directed even when you do not have chest pain. it must be taken as prescribed to prevent chest pain from occurring. Try to take this medication at same times each day. do not stop taking this drug suddenly without you're doctor's permission. several conditions can become worse if drug is stopped too fast. If stomach upset occurs, this drug may be taken with food or milk.
Vascor side effects: this drug can cause dizziness and lightheadedness especially during 1st few days. Avoid activities requiring alertness. When you sit or lie down for while, get up slowly to allow your body to adjust & minimize dizziness. Notify your doctor immediately if these effects continue or worsen. You may also experience diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, blurred vision, muscle cramps, headache, fatigue, drowsiness, ringing in ears, flushing, trembling or shaking hands. These effects should disappear as some your body adjusts to the drug. Inform your doctor if they continue or worsen. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop any of these serious effects: trouble breathing, swelling about hands or feet, unusual bleeding or bruising, chest pain. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: fainting, irregular heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Vascor Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: heart disease, heart arrhythmias, liver disease, kidney disease, blood disorders. some your healthcare professional may do laboratory tests periodically while you are taking this drug to money your blood potassium level. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since small amounts about bepridil appear in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Vascor drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), intravenous (IV) calcium, digoxin, fentanyl, terfenadine, astemizole, drugs that can increase you're heart-rate (e.g., asthma drugs, caffeine, pseudoephedrine). Report other meds which affect the heart rhythm (QTc prolongation), such as: dofetilide, pimozide, quinidine, sotalol, procainamide, sparfloxacin, 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide). Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist for more details. check the ingredients on all cough-and-cold products. Ask youre doctor or doctor about the safe use of these products. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.
Vascor Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include rapid, slow, or irregular heartbeat; dizziness; fainting; and loss about consciousness.
Vascor special notes: don't share it product with others.
If you missed Vascor dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; don't take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Vascor Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom.
