Librium Usage: this medication is used to treat anxiety. It's also used for alcohol withdrawal.
How to use Librium: this medication is given by injection in to vein (IV) or muscle (IM) by a health care professional. solution should be prepared just before using. Discard any unused solution. for IM use, prepare the solution only with the special liquid provided. since intravenous use, prepare the solution with saline or sterile water. Use this medication exactly as directed. don't increase dose or use it more often or continue using this for longer than prescribed.
Librium side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache or irritation at injection site may occur as youre body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your physician immediately if you develop: rapid heart rate, chest pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, mood changes, coordination problems, strange thoughts, mental confusion, depression. in unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Librium Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional you're medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, seizure disorders, allergies. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Alcoholic beverages will intensify these effects. Limit alcohol intake. Librium medication interactions: Tell your doctor of every over-the-counter and prescription medication you may use including: sedatives, antidepressants, cimetidine, narcotic pain relievers, other medicines that make you drowsy (including certain antihistamines such as diphenhydramine). Antihistamines present in many cough-and-cold products. check labels carefully for these drugs. Consult some your doctor if you uncertain your medicines contain antihistamines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Librium Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of consciousness.
Librium special notes: do not share this tablet with others.
If you missed Librium dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if this is near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Librium Storage: Store powder at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in bathroom. Refrigerate the special liquid provided for mixing drug.
