Xanax XR Usage: this drug is used to treat panic & anxiety symptoms associated with panic disorder. Alprazolam belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines. These medicines work directly on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce calming effect.

How to use Xanax XR: Take this medication by mouth 1 time daily usually in the morning; or as directed by you're physician. this medication should be swallowed whole; don't crush or chew the tablets. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while being treated with this medication unless you're physician instructs you otherwise. Use it medication exactly as prescribed. do not increase you're dose, take it more frequently, or use this for longer period of time than prescribed, because this drug may be habit forming. If using this drug for an extended period of time, do not suddenly stop taking this drug without consulting you're physician. few conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. your dose will need to be gradually decreased to avoid side effects such as seizures. When used since an extended period, this tablet may not work as well and may require different dosing. talk with your healthcare professional if this drug stops working well.

Xanax XR side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, tiredness, clumsiness, decreased interest in sex, decreased appetite, nausea, constipation, or joint pain may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: mental / mood changes, confusion, slurred speech or difficulty speaking, difficulty remembering things. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Xanax XR Precautions: this medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult you're doctor or pharmacist if you have: glaucoma (acute narrow angle), allergy to any another benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam, lorazepam). Before using this med, tell your doctor or physician some your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, history of drug dependence, alcohol use, any allergies. this pill may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Caution is advised when using it drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of the drug, especially drowsiness effect. this medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for more details. this pill passes into breast milk. Breast-feeding while using this medication is not recommended.

Xanax XR med interactions: this med shouldnot be used with following medications because very serious interactions may occur: azole antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole), sodium oxybate. If you are currently using any of these medications, tell you healthcare professional or pharmacist before starting alprazolam. Before using this drug, tell your doctor or healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: antidepressants (e.g., nefazodone, fluvoxamine, fluoxetine), anti-seizure medication (e.g., carbamazepine), certain herbal products (e.g., St. John's wort, kava), clozapine, cimetidine, fluconazole, HIV medications (e.g., delavirdine, or HIV protease inhibitors such as ritonavir), macrolide antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin, erythromycin), rifamycins (e.g., rifampin). Report all drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep (e.g., sedatives), tranquilizers, anti-anxiety meds (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). cash the labels on every some your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain ingredients that could cause drowsiness. Cigarette smoking decreases blood levels of this medication (hepatic enzyme induction). Tell you're pharmacist if you smoke or if you have recently stopped smoking. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Xanax XR Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: severe drowsiness, severe confusion, loss of coordination, or unconsciousness.

If you missed Xanax XR dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as you remember. If Its near clock of following dose, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Xanax XR Storage: Store at room temperature of 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Brief storage between 59 & 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. don't store in bathroom. Keep every medicines away from kid and pets.
