Xanax Usage: this med has a calming effect. It's used to relieve anxiety, nervousness & tension in treatment of anxiety disorders & panic disorders.

How to use Xanax: Take this medication by mouth exactly as prescribed. do not take this more much of times, increase some your dose or take this longer then directed with-out consulting your physician. do not suddenly stop taking this medication if you have been taking it regularly since some weeks. your dose will need to be gradually decreased to prevent side effects.

Xanax side effects: Drowsiness, incoordination, headache, fatigue, change in sex drive, change in appetite, change in weight, difficulty urinating or stomach upset may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify your doctor if you develop: rapid/pounding/irregular heartbeat, skin rash, changes in vision, slurred speech, confusion, depression, behavioral changes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or healthcare professional.

Xanax Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: kidney problems, liver disease, glaucoma, muscle weakness, history of pill dependence, any allergies. this med may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Use caution operating machinery or engaging in activities requiring alertness. Limit intake of alcohol while taking this medication since it may aggravate drowsiness & dizziness. Xanax drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you take, including: anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, narcotic pain relievers, erythromycin-like antibiotics, cimetidine, sleeping pills, tranquilizers, azole antifungals (e.g., fluconazole). Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this med unless your physician instructs you otherwise. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Xanax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of consciousness.

If you missed Xanax dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
