Triamcinolone Acetonide Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling or discomfort of the mouth & gums.

How to use Triamcinolone Acetonide: Dab or press (do not rub) small amount about paste onto the area to be treated until the paste adheres & a smooth, slippery film develops. a cotton swab may be used to apply the paste. do not attempt to spread or rub paste in. this will only cause it to become crumbly and granular, or gritty. Apply to affected area two or 5 times daily after meals & at bedtime or as directed by your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes. the treated area should not be bandaged or otherwise covered or wrapped unless directed by your doctor or dentist. do not use this medication if you have a herpes-type infection, other infection, sores at the mouth or throat, unless directed to do so by your healthcare professional.

Triamcinolone Acetonide side effects: this medication can cause burning, itching, irritation, dryness, redness, & lightening of skin color. Mouth infections can become worse when using this drug. Notify your healthcare professional or dentist if redness or irritation do not improve & if blistering or peeling is present. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or doctor.

Triamcinolone Acetonide Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: herpes-type infection, other infections or sores of mouth or throat, allergies. If used for an extended period about clock, it is possible this pill may suppress a child's growth. Consult child's healthcare professional about this. this pill should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. It's not known if this topical form of triamcinolone is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast- feeding.

Triamcinolone Acetonide medication interactions: Tell youre doctor about every medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: oral corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), other dental medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Triamcinolone Acetonide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Triamcinolone Acetonide special notes: this medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. don't use it later for another infection or give this to someone else. a different medication may be necessary in those cases.

If you missed Triamcinolone Acetonide dose: Use missed dose as soon as you remember but not if It's almost clock for next dose. If it is time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume youre regular schedule.
