    Indomethacin Usage: Indomethacin treats the pain, swelling & stiffness associated with arthritis, gout, bursitis or tendonitis.

    How to use Indomethacin: Take with food or immediately after meals to prevent stomach upset. Take this medication with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless some your pharmacist directs you otherwise. don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. Sustained release or long acting preparations must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity may be destroyed & side effects increased.

    Indomethacin side effects: Stomach upset is most common side effect. If this persists or becomes severe, notify some your doctor. Headache, heartburn, loss about appetite, lightheadedness, dizziness, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nervousness, or drowsiness may occur as your body adjusts to the drug. Notify youre doctor promptly if you develop any of these serious side effects while taking this med: vision changes, ringing in ears/loss of hearing. If you notice any of the next unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking this drug & consult youre healthcare professional or doctor immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/ abdominal pain, vomit that looks love coffee grounds. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    Indomethacin Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially about: liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, ulcers, heart disease, alcohol use, HBP, eye disease, mental disturbances, brain diseases (such as Parkinson's disease), asthma, nasal polyps, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). Use caution when performing tasks requiring alertness. Limit alcohol intake as it may intensify the drowsiness effect of this med. it medicine may cause stomach bleeding. per day use of alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. check with your doctor or healthcare professional for more information. do not take aspirin without consulting some your doctor. money the ingredients of any nonprescription medication you may be taking since much cough-and-cold formulas contain aspirin. Infrequently, this medication may increase skin's sensitivity to sunlight. If this happens to you, avoid prolonged sun exposure, wear protective clothing & use sunscreen. Avoid sunlamps. Caution is advised when this medication is used in elderly. this drug must be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're doctor. Use about this drug during last six months of pregnancy is not recommended. this medication is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Indomethacin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), other arthritis medication, 'water pills' (diuretics), lithium. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Indomethacin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, dark stool, ringing in ears, change in amount about urine, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, muscle weakness, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, severe headache or loss of consciousness.

    Indomethacin special notes: in arthritis, it may take up to 4 weeks before full effects about this medicine are noted. for best results, this must be taken regularly, as directed by your physician.

    If you missed Indomethacin dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Indomethacin Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.

    Female, Age : 61 and up years old , Reason : Arthritict Hip.
    Side Effects : one or two nighmare
    Review : Have been taking this drug for 1 month together with Tramadol and have found it ineffective! Doesn't relieve pain and reading some of the side effects is it worthwhile continuing in spite of the doctor saying carry on. Some of the side effects are worse than the pain
