Indocin Sr Usage: Indomethacin treats the pain, swelling and stiffness associated with arthritis, gout, bursitis or tendonitis.

How to use Indocin Sr: Take with food or immediately after meals to prevent stomach upset. Take this drug with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your healthcare professional directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. Sustained release or long acting preparations must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or sustained activity may be destroyed and side effects increased.

Indocin Sr side effects: Stomach upset is most common side effect. If this persists or becomes severe, notify your physician. Headache, heartburn, loss of appetite, lightheadedness, dizziness, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nervousness, or drowsiness may occur as your body adjusts to drug. Notify you're healthcare professional promptly if you develop any of these serious side effects while taking this med: vision changes, ringing in ears/loss of hearing. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking it drug & consult your physician or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/ abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.

Indocin Sr Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially of: liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, ulcers, heart disease, alcohol use, hypertension, eye disease, mental disturbances, brain diseases (such as Parkinson's disease), asthma, nasal polyps, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). Use caution when performing tasks requiring alertness. Limit alcohol intake as this may intensify drowsiness effect of it drug. it medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. check with your doctor or pharmacist for more info. do not take aspirin without consulting your doctor. USD the ingredients of any nonprescription drug you may be taking for much about cough-and-cold formulas contain aspirin. Infrequently, it tablet may increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight. If this happens to you, avoid prolonged sun exposure, wear protective clothing & use sunscreen. Avoid sunlamps. Caution is advised when this drug is used in the elderly. it pill must be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your physician. Use of it drug during last 6 months of pregnancy isn't recommended. it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Indocin Sr tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), other arthritis medication, 'water pills' (diuretics), lithium. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Indocin Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, dark stool, ringing in the ears, change in amount of urine, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, muscle weakness, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, severe headache or loss of consciousness.

Indocin Sr special notes: in arthritis, it may take up to four weeks before full effects about it medicine noted. for best results, this must be taken regularly, as directed by you're physician.

If you missed Indocin Sr dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Indocin Sr Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
