Cough Head Congestion Relief D Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Cough Head Congestion Relief D: Take this med as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take this more many times than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.
Cough Head Congestion Relief D side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur 1st few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or physician.
Cough Head Congestion Relief D Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, hypertension, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially drug allergies). check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of this drug are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cough Head Congestion Relief D drug interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: blood pressure drugs, drugs used to reduce weight, heart medication, tablet that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for two weeks after stopping the MAO inhibitor drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Cough Head Congestion Relief D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.
