Proventil Usage: this tablet works in the lungs to open breathing passages to make breathing easier. this is used to prevent & treat asthma attacks or other breathing problems.

How to use Proventil: this drug is inhaled into lungs using special breathing (nebulizer) equipment usually 3 to 4 times day. Measure the proper amount of med and dilute with sterile normal saline as directed. health care professional will demonstrate proper way to prepare the pill and use the equipment. Make sure you understand how to operate the machine & ask any questions you may have. Use it med as directed. do not increase your dose or use this more frequently than directed. Excessive use may lead to loss about effectiveness while increasing chance for side effects. do not stop using this medication without 1'st consulting your physician. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after using it drug or if you find yourself using it more then usual, contact your physician immediately.

Proventil side effects: Tremor, nervousness, shakiness, headache, nausea, lightheadedness, difficulty sleeping, unusual taste in mouth, increased appetite, muscle cramps, flushing, or dry throat may occur the 1st some days as youre body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: a rapid heartbeat, chest pain, dizziness, coughing, wheezing. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or physician.

Proventil Precautions: Before using it medication, tell you're physician youre medical history especially: an overactive thyroid, heart disease, HBP, epilepsy, diabetes, any drug allergies. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. it isnt known if it drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Proventil pill interactions: Tell some your doctor of every over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use including: asthma meds, blood pressure or chest pain medications, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), levodopa, digoxin, certain antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, doxepin), MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid, moclobemide, procarbazine), ritodrine, other 'adrenalin' drugs, thyroid tablets, caffeine, diuretics (e.g., hydrochlorothiazide). do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Proventil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include chest pain, quick or irregular heartbeat, headache, tremors, nervousness, weakness, and dizziness.

Proventil special notes: If this medication appears to be losing Its effectiveness, notify your physician. a change at youre therapy may be necessary.

If you missed Proventil dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Proventil Storage: Store unopened solution at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
