How to use Cleocin Phosphate in D5w: this drug is given intramuscularly or intravenously. this may be injected into large muscle such as buttock or hip or diluted in fluid and infused slowly into vein over 30-60 minutes. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine at your body is kept at a constant level. Do this by using pill at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night as prescribed. Continue to use this drug until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping drug too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting at a relapse of the infection.
Cleocin Phosphate in D5w side effects: this tablet can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, heartburn, cramps, weight loss, bloating, nausea & vomiting which should disappear in several days as your body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your pharmacist If diarrhea becomes a problem, do not take any anti-diarrhea medications. Make sure needles, tubing and supplies stored safely & disposed of properly. preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in this product or in liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during first months of life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants and is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, LBP, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the healthcare professional immediately should they occur. If possible, a preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Tell some your physician if you pregnant before using this medication. this drug is excreted into breast milk. Though no problems have been noted, consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
