Bronchodilator - oral, injection
Brethine Usage: this drug relaxes the smooth muscle in the lungs and dilates airways to improve breathing. Its used at treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
How to use Brethine: Oral tablet may be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Take it drug exactly as prescribed. do not take it more frequently without you're doctor's approval. Excessive use may result at decreased efficacy and increased side effects.
Brethine side effects: Dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, heartburn, loss of appetite, altered taste sensation, restlessness, anxiety, nervousness, trembling or sweating may occur but should subside as your body adjust to the drug. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify you're pharmacist if you experience: chest pain, palpitations, vomiting, breathing difficulties. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Brethine Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid gland, epilepsy, diabetes. Tell your doctor if you ever had bad reaction to bitolterol, ephedrine, epinephrine, metaproterenol, phenylephrine, phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, or terbutaline. much of nonprescription goods contain these tablets (e.g., diet pills & medication since colds & asthma), so dollars labels carefully. do not take any of these drugs with out consulting some your doctor (even if you never had problem taking them before). do not allow anyone else to take this medication. Before you use this tablet, tell your physician if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. it medication must not be used unless clearly needed if you are pregnant.
Brethine drug interactions: Tell youre physician of every prescription & nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: meds used for asthma, antidepressants, cold drugs, beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, propranolol). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Brethine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include seizures, fast irregular heart rate, nervousness, dizziness, fatigue, sleeplessness, headache, tremors, dry mouth, nausea, or chest pain.
Brethine special notes: If symptoms don't improve or worsen after taking it medication, call your pharmacist immediately.
If you missed Brethine dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time since following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Brethine Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. some products may require refrigeration. look packaging for exact storage directions, or bucks with your pharmacist.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
