    Cromolyn liquid - oral

    common brand names: Gastrocrom

    Gastrocrom Usage: Cromolyn is used to treat symptoms associated with mastocytosis such as diarrhea, flushing, headache, nausea & vomiting.

    Gastrocrom can be used also for: this medication may also be used to prevent food-allergy reactions.

    How to use Gastrocrom: the medication is usually taken at least 30 minutes before meals & at bedtime as directed. It's important to take this drug in evenly spaced intervals so follow your doctor's directions carefully. don't swallow ampules. contents of the ampules are used to make solution. To make the solution, break open ampules & squeeze Its liquid into glass of water. Stir solution well. Drink every of solution. When mixing solution, drink all of it immediately. do not mix it ahead of time. it dosage form of cromolyn is not to be used for inhalation or injection.

    Gastrocrom side effects: Nausea, gas, skin rash, itching, muscle aches, stomach pain, or headache may occur. If any about these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you experience: mood changes, burning of the mouth or throat. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Gastrocrom Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional your medical history, especially: kidney disease, liver disease, any allergies. Usage at children under two years old is generally not recommended but there may be exceptions. Consult the child's pharmacist. Tell you're doctor if you pregnant before taking this medication. it isn't known if this drug is excreted into poeple breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Gastrocrom med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may use. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Gastrocrom Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include coughing or wheezing, trouble breathing, excess tearing, and difficult or painful urination.

    Gastrocrom special notes: do not share this medication with others.

    If you missed Gastrocrom dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if Its near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Gastrocrom Storage: Keep the ampules in their foil pouches at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light until ready since use. do not store in bathroom.

    Medical alert: you're condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
