    Monodox Usage: Doxycycline is an antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.

    How to use Monodox: Take each dose with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless your physician directs you otherwise. do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this drug. Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs unless your pharmacist directs you otherwise. Take it med 2-3 hours before or after taking any medications containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium. some examples include quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals, & antacids. Sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate, iron, and zinc also included. These medications bind with doxycycline preventing Its full absorption. the liquid suspension form of this medicine must be shaken well before using. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in you're body is kept at a constant level. Do it by taking medicine at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Continue to take this med until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting at relapse of the infection.

    Monodox side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, headache or vomiting. If these symptoms persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. Very unlikely but report: stomach pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin, vision changes, mental changes. Doxycycline increases sensitivity to sunlight. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this medication, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or healthcare professional.

    Monodox Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: liver problems, kidney problems, allergies (especially med allergies), trouble swallowing, esophagus problems (e.g., hiatal hernia, GERD). Use of this tablet for prolonged or repeated periods may result in secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection). Doxycycline may make you more prone to sunburn. Wear protective clothing and sunscreen if needed. this drug shouldnot be used by child up to 8 years of age because it is use may permanently discolor they're teeth or cause another problems. Caution is advised in older children also. this drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult some your physician before using this medication. this drug passes at to breast milk & has had undesirable effects on nursing infants. Therefore, Its use is not recommended while breast-feeding. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Monodox pill interactions: Inform your physician about all the medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: vitamins/minerals (e.g., magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, zinc), quinapril, didanosine, bismuth subsalicylate, sucralfate, antacids, other antibiotics, live vaccines, warfarin. this medicine may decrease effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Consult your pharmacist or physician about other types of birth control. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

    Monodox Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Monodox special notes: it medication has been prescribed since you're current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different medication may be necessary.

    If you missed Monodox dose: If you should miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered unless It's almost time for the next dose. If it is nearly time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.

    Monodox Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom.

    Side Effects : none
    Review : i have had bad acne for 4 years and never saw a change no matter what medication i was on. my doctor prescribed this and i began seeing results after 4 weeks. my acne is now better!
