Erythromycin Usage: Erythromycin is an antibiotic. it used topically to treat acne.
How to use Erythromycin: it pill is for topical use only. Clean and dry affected area before applying this medication. Wipe affected area gently with a medicated pad as directed. Depending on size of area to be treated, more then one pad may be necessary. do not rub. Wash hands after use. don't use this more many of times or since longer than directed. your condition will not clear faster, but chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with eyes. do not get it medication inside the nose or mouth.
Erythromycin side effects: it pill may cause redness, burning, tenderness, dry skin, itching, eye irritation & oily skin. Notify your healthcare professional if these symptoms continue or if you develop a skin rash. in unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek healthcare professional attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Erythromycin Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics). it pill must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with youre pharmacist. Small amounts of this medication may be found in breast milk. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.
Erythromycin tablet interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may use, especially of: other skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Erythromycin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Erythromycin special notes: it may take weeks or months of therapy with this tablet to treat acne. Follow youre doctor's instructions & keep all healthcare professionals appointments so effectiveness of it therapy can be monitored.
If you missed Erythromycin dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; don't apply it if It's near the clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Erythromycin Storage: Store this at a cool, dry area away from heat & light as directed. check expiration date on the bottle and discard any expired med after that date.
