Maxaquin Usage: this pill is an antibiotic used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections.
How to use Maxaquin: Take each dose with full glass of water. this drug may be taken with or without food. Drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication. Take this medication 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking any meds containing magnesium or aluminum. some examples include quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals, and antacids. Sucralfate bismuth subsalicylate, iron, & zinc are also included. These pills bind with lomefloxacin preventing Its full absorption. Antibiotics work best when amount about medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Do it by taking the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night. Continue to take this drug until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping the drug too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in relapse about infection.
Maxaquin side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, loss about appetite, change at taste, loose stools, nausea, headache or dizziness during the 1st few days as some your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Report new pain or tenderness (tendonitis) in arms or legs promptly. If you develop diarrhea while taking it drug, notify your pharmacist. do not take any nonprescription medication to treat the diarrhea without 1-st consulting youre pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you develop: tremors, chest pain, restlessness, nightmares, vision changes, mental/mood changes, ringing in ears, seizures. this medication may infrequently cause drowsiness. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, fever, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Maxaquin Precautions: Before taking this pill, tell your physician youre medical history especially about: epilepsy, kidney disease, tendon problems, nervous system disorders, liver disease, blood vessel problems, any medication allergies. Use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication makes you dizzy or lightheaded. Limit alcohol intake. Because it medication may make you more sensitive to sun, avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing & use sunscreen when outdoors. Taking youre dose of drug in evening instead of morning may help to reduce this sensitivity reaction. it pill should be used with caution in children less than 18 years of age because it can cause joint or bone problems. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. It's unknown if this med is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Maxaquin medication interactions: Before taking this pill, tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription meds you taking, especially: other antibiotics, warfarin, cyclosporine, quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals (e.g., magnesium, aluminum, iron, zinc), antacids, sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Maxaquin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Maxaquin special notes: this drug has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different drug may be needed in those cases.
If you missed Maxaquin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for next dose, skip missed dose & take the scheduled dose only, then resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Maxaquin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in the bathroom.
