    Doxycycline Hyclate Usage: Doxycycline is an antibiotic used to treat wide variety of bacterial infections.

    How to use Doxycycline Hyclate: Take each dose with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your pharmacist directs you otherwise. do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking this drug. Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs unless you're doctor directs you otherwise. Take this drug 2-3 hours before or after taking any medications containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium. few examples include quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals, & antacids. Sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate, iron, & zinc also included. These medications bind with doxycycline preventing it is full absorption. liquid suspension form of it medicine must be shaken well before using. Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in your body is kept at constant level. Do this by taking the medicine at evenly spaced intervals throughout day and night. Continue to take it med until full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a several days. Stopping drug too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in relapse about the infection.

    Doxycycline Hyclate side effects: this med may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, headache or vomiting. If these symptoms persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. Very unlikely but report: stomach pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, vision changes, mental changes. Doxycycline increases sensitivity to sunlight. in the unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this med, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Doxycycline Hyclate Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially of: liver problems, kidney problems, allergies (especially drug allergies), trouble swallowing, esophagus problems (e.g., hiatal hernia, GERD). Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal yeast infection). Doxycycline may make you more prone to sunburn. Wear protective clothing and sunscreen if needed. this tablet should not be used by children up to 8 years of age because Its use may permanently discolor their teeth or cause another problems. Caution is advised in older children also. this tablet isn't recommended since use during pregnancy. Consult youre healthcare professional before using it medication. this pill passes into breast milk and has had undesirable effects on nursing infants. Therefore, Its use is not recommended while breast-feeding. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Doxycycline Hyclate medication interactions: Inform your physician about all medicines you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: vitamins/minerals (e.g., magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, zinc), quinapril, didanosine, bismuth subsalicylate, sucralfate, antacids, other antibiotics, live vaccines, warfarin. this medicine may decrease the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Consult you're physician or pharmacist about other types of birth control. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Doxycycline Hyclate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Doxycycline Hyclate special notes: this medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use this later for another infection or give it to someone else. different medication may be necessary.

    If you missed Doxycycline Hyclate dose: If you should miss dose, take this as soon as remembered unless It's almost time for following dose. If Its nearly time for the following dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose.

    Doxycycline Hyclate Storage: Store in room temperature away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
