Warning: Nefazodone rarely may cause serious (potentially fatal) liver disease. Seek immediate doctor attention if you develop: dark urine, extreme fatigue, persistent loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellowing eyes/skin. Tell your doctor or healthcare professional if you have history of liver problems or abnormal liver function tests (LFTs) before taking this medicine. your healthcare professional may perform laboratory tests (e.g., liver function) to monitor you're progress. If your doctor stops your nefazodone treatment because of liver problems/abnormal liver tests, you shouldn't take this drug again. Consult some your doctor or doctor for more details.
Serzone Usage: this medication is used in the treatment about depression.
How to use Serzone: Take it drug by mouth exactly as prescribed. During the 1-st some weeks your physician may gradually increase your dose to allow your body to adjust to drug. don't take this more often, increase your dose or stop taking this with-out 1-st consulting your pharmacist.
Serzone side effects: most common side effects sleepiness, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness (especially when standing), constipation, weakness, blurred vision or changes in vision, or mental confusion. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you develop: irregular heartbeat, skin rash, seizures. Males: if you develop a painful, prolonged erection lasting more than four hours, seek immediate healthcare attention. it uncommon condition can result in permanent injury. Nefazodone can rarely cause serious, possibly fatal, liver problems. Seek immediate medical attention if any of these symptoms occur: stomach pain, dark urine, yellowing eyes/skin, unusual fatigue. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Serzone Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: liver problems, heart disease, history of seizures, any allergies (including trazodone). it is recommended to limit consumption of alcohol while taking this drug. Caution is advised when operating machinery or performing tasks needing alertness, since this medication can cause drowsiness or dizziness. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre doctor. It's not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Serzone drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: terfenadine, astemizole, alprazolam, triazolam, buspirone, MAOI drugs (e.g., linezolid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, selegiline, furazolidone), cisapride, carbamazepine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, venlafaxine, sumatriptan, dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, sibutramine, 'statins' (e.g., lovastatin), narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine), pimozide, cyclosporine, tacrolimus. this tablet should not be used within 14 days after discontinuing an MAOI. An MAOI shouldnot be taken within 1 week of stopping nefazodone. don't start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Serzone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, sluggishness, & increased sweating.
Serzone special notes: it may take several weeks of continued therapy before full effects of this medication occur. Keep every regular medical or laboratory appointments. Medical/laboratory tests (e.g., liver function) may be performed to monitor your progress.
If you missed Serzone dose: Try to take each dose in the scheduled time. If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Serzone Storage: Store it med at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom. Keep it & all pills out about the reach of children.
