Ddavp Usage: this pill is used to treat diabetes insipidus, for surgical procedures, head injury or another conditions requiring fluid control. this is also used to control bleeding at persons with certain types about blood disorders such as Hemophilia a or von Willebrand's disease.

How to use Ddavp: this is given by injection into vein or just under skin. dose will be based on your condition & response. Use this only as directed. do not increase the dose, use this more often or stop using this tablet without 1st consulting your pharmacist.

Ddavp side effects: Headache, flushing and irritation, burning or swelling at injection site may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you experience any of these effects: nausea, stomach cramps, genital-area pain, uncontrolled bleeding, chest pain. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

Ddavp Precautions: Tell your doctor some your medical history, especially of: high blood pressure, heart disease, fluid or vitamin/mineral (electrolyte) imbalances, any allergies you may have. Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using this medication. Its not known if this tablet is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Ddavp med interactions: Tell you're doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medications you may use, especially: carbamazepine, chlorpropamide, demeclocycline, 'water pills' (diuretics), drugs that increase blood pressure (e.g., dopamine, epinephrine, ephedrine, norepinephrine), alcohol. Ask your doctor how many, if any, alcohol you may drink. Alcohol interferes with the action of desmopressin by increasing urination. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Ddavp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Ddavp special notes: Laboratory tests may be done to monitor you're progress. in addition, amount about fluid you drink may be monitored.

If you missed Ddavp dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Ddavp Storage: Store in refrigerator between 36 & 46 degrees F (2 to 8 degrees C) as directed. Properly discard about used needles. Keep this & every medications out of the reach about children.
