Cuprimine Usage: Penicillamine is used to treat arthritis, Wilson's disease, or to prevent kidney stone formation.
Cuprimine canbe used also for: this medication may also be used for lead poisoning, certain liver conditions, & certain skin conditions.
How to use Cuprimine: Take this medication on an empty stomach one hour before or 2 hours after meals. Avoid taking any other drug, food or milk within in least one hour of taking this. Take each dose with full glass of water & drink plenty of water during therapy with it medication. do not stop taking it medication with out consulting you're doctor.
Cuprimine side effects: Indigestion, loss of appetite, nausea or diarrhea may occur 1-st several days as youre body adjusts to the medication. Cough, breathing trouble, mouth sores, hair loss, altered tastes, hot flashes & ringing in the ears may also occur. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: easy bruising or bleeding, skin rash, fever, sore throat, chills. it medication may cause blood disorders. Laboratory tests will be done periodically to monitor for these effects & to ensure drug is working properly. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Cuprimine Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: kidney disease, blood disorders, allergies. Penicillamine is not recommended since use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using it drug. it is not known if this tablet passes into breast milk. Consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Cuprimine pill interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, especially: antacids, anticancer pill, digoxin, gold therapy, iron, pill for malaria, phenylbutazone. Avoid taking any medication within one hour about taking this. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Cuprimine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Cuprimine special notes: this med may increase your need for vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) and iron. Ask your pharmacist if a vitamin supplement is necessary while taking this tablet.
If you missed Cuprimine dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cuprimine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
