Oxistat Usage: it medication is an antifungal for use on the skin. it is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch and ring worm.
How to use Oxistat: this medication is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected area as directed. Apply enough cream or lotion to cover affected area. Use cotton balls or soft cloth to apply lotion. Wash hands after application. do not apply this more often than prescribed. your condition will not clear faster, but side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to face. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid contact with vagina.
Oxistat side effects: it medication may cause itching, burning, redness, dry or flaky skin or tingling the first few days as your body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify youre doctor if you develop: pain, swelling, open sores, skin rash. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Oxistat Precautions: Tell youre physician if you have: other illnesses, infections, allergies (especially drug allergies). this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this drug is found at breast milk. Consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Oxistat tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you use, especially of: every skin products. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Oxistat Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Oxistat special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, notify you're doctor.
If you missed Oxistat dose: If you miss a dose, apply this as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Oxistat Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. check container for expiration date and discard any unused drug after that date.
