Diflucan Usage: this medication is an antifungal agent used to treat infections at certain areas of the body caused by yeast & yeast-like organisms.
How to use Diflucan: this medicine comes with patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your pharmacist, nurse, or healthcare professional any questions you may have about this medicine. it medication works best when the amount of medicine in some your body is kept at constant level. Do this by taking the medication in evenly spaced intervals. Take as directed since different conditions require different methods of use. this drug is usually taken one time daily. other dosing method involves taking drug for one week per month until treatment is completed. Continue to take it drug until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping the drug too early may allow yeast to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of infection.
Diflucan side effects: this medication may cause stomach upset, loss of appetite, altered taste, diarrhea, nausea, headache or dizziness during the first several days as you're body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. in the unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Diflucan Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease, any drug allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. Fluconazole is excreted in to breast milk. manufacturer about this drug recommends it not be used while breast-feeding. Diflucan drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional or physician of every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: astemizole, cisapride, cimetidine, oral contraceptives, cyclosporine, oral antidiabetic drugs, phenytoin, rifampin, rifabutin, certain benzodiazepines (e.g., alprazolam, triazolam), tacrolimus, terfenadine, theophylline, warfarin, zidovudine. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Diflucan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include hallucinations and changes at behavior.
Diflucan special notes: this drug has been prescribed for your current condition only. don't use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different medicine may be needed.
If you missed Diflucan dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered. If this is almost clock for the next dose, take scheduled dose only. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
