Tavist Usage: this pill is an antihistamine & is used for allergy symptoms such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing.
How to use Tavist: Take it drug as prescribed. do not take it more often than directed. the pills should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. a syrup form about this medication is available. Ask your doctor for specially marked measuring spoon to be sure of the correct dose. this medication may be taken with food to help prevent stomach upset.
Tavist side effects: this medication can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, vision changes, irritability, dry mouth, or dry nose. These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects persist or worsen, inform some your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify some your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Tavist Precautions: Before using clemastine, consult with your healthcare professional if you have any about the following: asthma, lung disease, ulcers, glaucoma, overactive thyroid, difficulty urinating, enlarged prostate, high blood pressure, history about seizures, heart disease, allergies (especially tablet allergies). do not take since several days before allergy testing as test results can be affected. Limit use of alcohol to prevent excessive drowsiness. Use caution when using machinery or engaging in activities that require alertness. it drug may cause dizziness, especially when arising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to effects of this drug and may require lower doses. Clemastine should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. Clemastine is excreted in to breast milk & Its recommended you do not breast-feed while taking it drug. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding,
Tavist drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, narcotic pain medication, another medications for colds/allergies/hay fever, drugs for seizures. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in the last 2 weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Tavist Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, flushing, fever, weakness, tremor, muscle twitching, loss of consciousness, and seizures. in children, excitement may occur first followed by loss of coordination, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, & seizures.
Tavist special notes: Keep out of reach about children.
If you missed Tavist dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered. If It's almost time for following dose, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Tavist Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom. don't freeze the liquid form.
Medical alert: youre condition can cause complications at medical emergency.
