Alavert Usage: Loratadine is an antihistamine that provides relief about seasonal allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose (rhinitis), itching eyes, & sneezing. it is also used for hives.

How to use Alavert: Take this medication by mouth once day or as directed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. do not take this drug for some days before allergy testing since test results canbe affected.

Alavert side effects: Headache, fatigue, dry mouth, thirst, dry nose or hoarseness may occur. These effects should lessen as your body adjusts to medication. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician or healthcare professional promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: nervousness, rapid or pounding heartbeat, unusual weakness, stomach pain, dizziness, diarrhea, wheezing, increased physical activity. Loratadine does not usually cause drowsiness when used at recommended doses & under normal circumstances. However, be sure of drug's effects before engaging in activities that require alertness such as driving or using machinery. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Alavert Precautions: Before using this drug, tell your healthcare professional or doctor youre medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, any allergies. Limit alcohol intake, as this may intensify drug side effects. Caution is advised when using this med in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of drug. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. it drug passes into breast milk. Breast-feeding isn't recommended while using this drug.

Alavert drug interactions: Before using this tablet, tell youre doctor or doctor about all prescription and nonprescription products you may use. check labels on every some your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain additional antihistamines that could increase your risk for side effects. Ask your healthcare professional about safe use of those goods. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or physician approval.

Alavert Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: unusual drowsiness, severe headache, quick heartbeat, and unusual muscle movements.

If you missed Alavert dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of following dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Alavert Storage: Store between 36-86 degrees F (2-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. do not store in bathroom. Keep all medicines away from child & pets.
