Catapres Tts two Usage: Clonidine relaxes and expands (dilates) blood vessels resulting in lowered blood pressure. It's used to treat HBP (hypertension).

Catapres Tts 2 can be used also for: this medication may also be used to ease withdrawal symptoms associated with the long-term use of narcotics, alcohol, and nicotine (smoking). other possible uses to treat Tourette's syndrome, prevent specific headaches (e.g., migraines, cluster), or hot flashes associated with menopause. this pill may also be used for other purposes as determined by your doctor.

How to use Catapres Tts 2: Apply clonidine patches to hairless region of the skin on upper arm or chest every 7 days. Apply each patch to a different area than previous one to avoid skin irritation. Apply new patch before removing the old one. Be sure to remove hard plastic backing on the patch before using. do not apply patch to broken or irritated skin. If the medicated patch loosens, apply the large non-medicated adhesive patch over the medicated patch to help it stick. this is important to continue taking this med even if you feel well. most human with high blood pressure do not feel sick. don't stop using this pill without consulting your doctor. few conditions may become worse when medication is suddenly stopped. your dose may need to be gradually decreased.

Catapres Tts 2 side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, constipation, loss of appetite, fatigue, nasal congestion & dry eyes may occur during first several days as your body adjusts to the drug. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages and avoid overheating which will aggravate these effects. Inform your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, difficulty breathing, difficulty urinating, skin rash, swelling about hands or feet, yellowing of eyes or skin. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.

Catapres Tts 2 Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: heart problems, blood vessel problems, kidney problems, depression, Raynaud's syndrome, allergies (especially medication allergies). Before having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the pharmacist you use clonidine. Clonidine should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. Clonidine passes into breast milk. Though theyre have been (to date) no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult some your pharmacist before you breast-feed.

Catapres Tts two drug interactions: Tell your physician about all prescription & nonprescription medications you use, especially of: beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, propranolol), tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, doxepin). do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or physician approval.

Catapres Tts two Overdose: If overdose is suspected, remove patch. Contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include lightheadedness, weakness, sleepiness, irritability, constricted pupils, vomiting, slow heart rate, and slowed breathing.

Catapres Tts two special notes: It's important to have youre blood pressure checked regularly while taking it pill. Learn how to monitor youre blood pressure. Discuss it with your healthcare professional. do not allow anyone else to take this medication.

If you missed Catapres Tts 2 dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if this is almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Catapres Tts 2 Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
