Female, Age : 40-50 years old , Reason : Heart palpitations. Side Effects : Dry mouth & some tiredness. Overall it has helped me tremendously & reduced my heart palpitations & skipped beats. They were happening 20-30 times an hour, keeping me awake at night and scaring me to death. After having numerous heart and blood tests, that came back as normal, Dr. put me on lopressor. in addition to regulating my heartrate, it helps with my high blood pressure, and I feel less tense. Also seems to help with my headaches...they fewer & less severe. really helped me get back to normal. I am on a very low dose that I also take with dyazide for high BP. Review : I used to take Inderal 22 years ago for heart palpitiations, but I like lopressor better. I do not get dizzy or woozy on this, but I did have that happen with Inderal. |

Male, Age : 50-60 years old , Reason : Congestive heart failure. Side Effects : since beginning beta blockers, I've gained 25 lbs, I'm tired every clock, & after months on metorpolol, I've begun to have chest discomfort. then, when lisinopril was added, the chest discomfort became much worse & I felt as though I aged 10 years in 3 months. I had bunch about tests done to find the cause about chest pain & they could find nothing. I told Dr. I wanted to stop the lisinopril & watch if I felt better, & I did. I got back 8 of 10 years I felt I lost!! So lisinopril is history. Review : I'm not convinced that metoprolol is doing me anything positive, but It's doing plenty negative. When I miss a dose, I feel SOOO much better!!! |
