Lisinopril Hctz Usage: this drug is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). this medication is a combination of two drugs (an ACE inhibitor and a thiazide 'water pill'/diuretic). Lisinopril works by relaxing blood vessels, causing them to widen. the thiazide diuretic increases the amount about urine you make, therefore decreasing excess water & salt in you're body. high blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, & kidney problems.

Lisinopril Hctz can be used also since: this drug may also be used to treat congestive heart failure and to help protect kidneys from damage due to diabetes.

How to use Lisinopril Hctz: Take this medication by mouth, usually 1 time a day or as directed by your physician. You may take this drug with or without food. Use this pill regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it in same clock each day. Drink adequate fluids to prevent from becoming dehydrated. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling (especially of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

Lisinopril Hctz Precautions: this drug should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using it medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: allergies to other ACE inhibitors (e.g., benazepril, captopril), history of an allergic reaction which included swelling of the face/lips/tongue/throat (angioedema), urinary problems (inability to make urine or anuria). Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of drug, especially dizziness effect. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during the first three months about pregnancy.
