Ziac Usage: it combination medication is used to treat high blood pressure (high blood pressure). Beta-blockers slow heart rate. Thiazide diuretics, also known as 'water pills', reduce fluid accumulation at body by increasing urination.
How to use Ziac: Take this pill exactly as prescribed. do not adjust dose with-out consulting some your healthcare professional. Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Because this drug increases urination, avoid taking dose in late evening before bedtime. do not suddenly stop taking this tablet without consulting your doctor. several conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped.
Ziac side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness or blurred vision as youre body adjusts to the medication. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers reduce blood circulation to extremities, your hands and feet may be more susceptible to cold. Thiazide diuretics can cause potassium loss from body. Its advisable to eat foods or drink liquids high in potassium such as citrus juice, bananas, melons, raisins & dates. Use about salt substitutes also help prevent potassium loss. rarely potassium supplement tablet may be prescribed by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulty, easy bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion or depression, excessive thirst, muscle cramps, yellowing of eyes or skin, sore throat. this drug may increase sensitivity to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing & use sunscreen. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Ziac Precautions: You may want to bucks youre pulse everyday while taking this pill. Discuss with your healthcare professional what changes in your pulse rate mean. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to sulfa drugs. You may also be allergic to this med. it drug isnt recommended for use during pregnancy. Ziac drug interactions: this med isn't recommended since use with: dofetilide. Ask your healthcare professional or physician for more details. Ziac Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow heartbeat, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, unconsciousness, seizures, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, or muscle weakness.

If you missed Ziac dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
