Beta blockers - oral
warning: If you have angina or have had heart problems, do not suddenly stop using this medication without 1st consulting you're doctor. If your physician decides you should no longer use this drug, you must stop this medication gradually according to your doctor's instructions.
Zebeta Usage: this med is used for chest pain (angina), high blood pressure & irregular heartbeats.
How to use Zebeta: Take this med exactly as prescribed. Try to take it in same times each day. don't suddenly stop taking this med with-out consulting your pharmacist. some conditions may become worse when drug is suddenly stopped.
Zebeta side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, & blurred vision as some your body adjusts to the drug. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers may reduce blood circulation to extremities, your hands & feet may be cold. Dress warm. Inform you're doctor if you develop: easy bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion, depression, sore throat. in the unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to it medication, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Zebeta Precautions: Before taking this medication, tell youre physician if you have history of: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, any other lung disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, any drug allergies. Before having surgery, tell the physician or dentist in charge that you taking beta-blocker. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. it tablet is excreted in to breast milk and though no problems have been noted, the possibility for adverse effects to the infant exists. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Zebeta medication interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: diuretics, cold preparations & nasal decongestants, reserpine, another heart or HBP medications, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Zebeta Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, slow or shallow breathing, seizures, unconsciousness, weakness, or fatigue.
Zebeta special notes: your physician may want you to take your pulse each day while you take this tablet. Learn how to monitor your pulse.
If you missed Zebeta dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered but not if It's within four hours of next dose (8 hours for penbutolol, atenolol, nadolol). If this is, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Zebeta Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
